Mars keeps more onion addresses live at any given moment than any other shop on the list. The effect is that when the active address gets attacked, you paste another one from the announcement and keep going with the same account and the same basket. For people who lost orders because a shop went dark for two days during a flood, this is the practical reason to use it.
The trade-off is the same one every resilience play has. More live addresses means more that can be targeted, and it means a saved bookmark of one address ages faster than average. The habit that goes with it is to keep the whole list rather than a favourite, because the moment you go hunting for a replacement is the moment a copy is waiting.

darknet.center is a reference service. We list addresses and explain how each shop works, but we do not operate any of them and nothing here makes a purchase lawful in your jurisdiction. Verify every address against the market’s own announcement before you type a password.
